Typically, I never submit reviews, but I had to this time. Geeta Sharma DNP has a deep knowledge base and is an expert in her field. She validates my concerns, communicates well, and doesn’t rush our appointments. I have been on Tirzepatide for a few short weeks, and let me tell you! Other than the weight loss (which was my primary reason for connecting with Geeta), I received an added bonus… my sleep apnea is gone. GONE. No more heavy snoring, gasping for air, or waking up tired!Though my weight loss journey continues, I’m confident I will be successful. I am truly happy I connected with Geeta/ Everest Diabetes & Weight Loss!

I have had a very challenging time with my weight since entering menopause. I was eating well; high protein, low/healthy carbs, fruits and veggies! I was working out daily. At 164lbs I simply could not lose one ounce! Then I met with Geeta and began semiglutide. The weight has slowly come off. Don’t get excited at the first 10lbs. It slowed down quickly and has come off slowly and in a healthier way. Geeta talks you through the process, food choices, exercise, and dosages. I was very comfortable speaking with her. The team communicates well and responds quickly. Pricing for the med seems to vary at times and I don’t quite understand that part but also haven’t asked directly. However, pricing is reasonable as I just sat next to a woman in CVS picking up her Ozempic who had to pay $600 after insurance! I am down 40 lbs and maintaining! I’m so happy! Before and after!

I was very nervous going into this process but not even 5 minutes into our first meeting Geeta made me feel very comfortable. I didn’t feel judged or accused of my unhealthy eating habits or the fact that I am a mom and don’t have a regular exercise routine. She was so nice and so understanding and she explained everything so thoroughly. I never feel rushed in our meetings in fact, our first appointment was about an hour and a half long and I felt so ready to begin this journey! And excited! I follow her nutrition suggestions and I see results! I feel great! And I look forward to our appointments. She also has the cutest daughter that I got to see on camera for a quick 2 seconds! There is nothing like talking to a professional and feeling like you can be yourself! Geeta is so precessional and knowledgeablebut also understanding and helpful in making patients feel at ease. I highly recommend her.

I’ve had a great experience in my Monjaro journey with Geeta Sharma, DNP. She has been nothing but professional. Answers all my questions and/or concerns and is very attentive during our virtual visits. Takes the time to explain things clearly and has nothing but my best interest as her priority. Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do you offer in-person visits?

No. We only offer Telemedicine service Monday through Friday and patients must be a resident of Connecticut.

2) How do I book an appointment?

Please use the contact page to schedule your online appointment. You will be contacted by our staff during regular business hours to confirm the appointment.

3) What is needed for my first appointment?

You will need a blood pressure machine, a scale to check your weight, and a digital device (computer, phone) for our visit.

4) How do I get my blood pressure numbers?

You can get your blood pressure and heart rate checked at Walmart, CVS, or Walgreens depending on where you live. You may also buy a blood pressure machine from amazon or other stores.

5) What software do you use to communicate for telemedicine ?

The Doximity app is used to communicate via phone and video, which can be downloaded on both the android and apple app stores. You would also need a digital device (computer, phone) that allows video and microphone access for telemedicine visit.

6) How do I access my portal ?

Once an appointment date has been confirmed, you will receive an email with portal access instructions to complete prior to your first appointment.

7) Do you take insurance?

No. Everest Diabetes and Endocrinology, does not accept insurance. However, we do accept payments from HSA/FSA accounts. You may file a claim with your insurance company to potentially receive reimbursement for appointments. Insurance may cover some costs for medication and blood work depending on your coverage.

8) How much do services cost?

One hour initial evaluations cost $180. Follow up appointments are 30 minutes and cost $130. Cost of medications, labs, and medical testing are not included.

9) Are discounts or promotions available?

Yes. If you refer a family or friend to Everest Diabetes and Endocrinology, you can receive $50 off your next follow-up appointment.

10) Will I be under the care of a medical provider?

Yes. Our board certified Nurse Practitioner who is specialized in Diabetes and Endocrinology will work with you 1:1 during every appointment.

11) What can I expect at my first appointment?

A one hour detailed assessment of your medical, nutritional history will be performed to ensure you are prescribed the right medication, if indicated. You will also receive comprehensive nutrition, lifestyle habits, and exercise counseling.

12) How often are appointments?

Appointments may range from once every 2 weeks to once every 3 months. Follow up appointment intervals depend on patients’ goals, prescribed medication and progress.

13) What results can I expect to see and how quickly?

Everest Diabetes and Endocrinology offers a holistic approach to weight loss. Utilizing medication, behavioral modification, as well as nutritional and exercise counseling can result in up to 20 lbs weight loss during the first month. Results vary by individual.

14) What is your cancellation policy ?

In the event that you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we ask that you give us 48 hours’ notice. All late cancellations are subject to a fee of $50.
